I. CALL MEETING TO ORDER
Madam Chair Carroll called the August 20, 2019 Urban Renewal Authority
meeting to order at 6:33 pm.
II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE & ROLL CALL
Present 9- Scott Charles, Adam Haid, Geoff Deakin, Jennifer Carroll, Dan Woog, Bill Gippe,
Christiaan van Woudenberg, Tina Harris, and Michelle Krezek
Absent 1- John Ahrens
III. APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA
Commissioner Deakin moved to approve the agenda; the motion was seconded
by Commissioner van Woudenberg. The motion carried with all present voting in
favor thereof.
Aye: 8- Commissioner Charles, Commissioner Haid, Commissioner Deakin, Chairperson
Carroll, Commissioner Woog, Commissioner Gippe, Commissioner van
Woudenberg, and Commissioner Harris
IV. SWEARING IN OF MICHELLE KREZEK 6:35 PM
Commissioner Deakin moved to table the swearing in of Michelle Krezek. The
motion was seconded by Commissioner Haid. The motion carried with a seven (7)
for and one (1) against vote with Commissioner Gippe voting no.
Aye: 7- Commissioner Charles, Commissioner Haid, Commissioner Deakin, Chairperson
Carroll, Commissioner Woog, Commissioner van Woudenberg, and Commissioner
Harris
Nay: 1- Commissioner Gippe
V. PUBLIC COMMENT 6:40 PM
There was no one present that wished to give public comment.
VI. EXECUTIVE SESSION 6:45 PM
19-396 An Executive Session to hold a conference with the Authority's Attorney to
determine positions relative to matters that may be subject to negotiations,
develop a strategy for negotiations, and/or instruct negotiators, pursuant to

C.R.S. § 24-6-402(4)(e), concerning the I-25 URA Negotiating Strategy
Commissioner Deakin moved to go into Executive Session to hold a conference
with the Authority's Attorney to determine positions relative to matters that may
be subject to negotiations, develop a strategy for negotiations, and/or instruct
negotiators, pursuant to C.R.S. § 24-6-402(4)(e), concerning the I-25 URA
Negotiating Strategy. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Harris. The
motion carried with all present voting in favor thereof.
Madam Chair Carroll announced; It's Tuesday, August 20, 2019, the time is 6:35
pm. For the record, I am the presiding officer, Madam Chair Carroll. As required
by
the Open Meetings Law, this executive session is being electronically recorded.
Also present at this executive session are the entire Urban Renewal Authority,
Urban Renewal Authority Attorney Carolynne C. White, Economic Development
Manager Ben Pratt, and Town Administrator Malcolm Fleming.
Madam Chair Carroll annouced; the time is 7:42 pm, and the executive session
has been concluded. For the record, if any person who participated in the
executive session believes that any substantial discussion of any matters not
included in the motion to go into the executive session occurred during the
executive session, or that any action occurred during the executive session in
violation of the Open Meetings Law, I would ask that you state your concerns for
the record.
Hearing none, Madam Chair Carroll moved to the next agenda item.
