Tour of Lafayette Horizon Solar Project
We will meet just outside the fence at the project. Best thing is for people to park along
the street (see picture below).
Attendees should wear closed toe / sturdy shoes and note the following:
- Site is an ACTIVE electrical generation station
- Do NOT touch any portion of the project unless told specifically that it is ok
- Be prepared to walk a little but, watch your steps
o Ground is not exactly flat and trip hazards may exist
o Site is natively vegetated and as such we could experience any sort of prairie / field
type flora and fauna. Snakes of both the hissing and rattling type can be present.
- Watch your head space
o When walking near the array please be aware of the height of the array and
associated appurtenances.
- Current weather next week should be dry and seasonal – dress appropriately.
Park on Horizon Avenue --- we will walk down to the site to the north.
