645 Holbrook Street TOWN OF ERIE Erie, CO 80516 Meeting Minutes - Final Board of Trustees Tuesday, March 5, 2019 6:00 PM Board Room SPECIAL MEETING SPECIAL MEETING 6:00 PM IN THE BOARD ROOM I. CALL MEETING TO ORDER Mayor Carroll called the March 5, 2019 Special Meeting to order at 6:00 pm. II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE AND ROLL CALL Present: 4- Mayor Carroll Mayor Pro Tem Deakin Trustee Charles Trustee Woog Excused: 3- Trustee Haid Trustee Gippe Trustee van Woudenberg III. APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA Trustee Charles moved to approve the agenda; the motion was seconded by Trustee Woog. The motion carried with all present voting in favor thereof. IV. EXECUTIVE SESSION 6:05 PM 19-119 An Executive Session To Consider Specialized Details Of Security Arrangements Or Investigations, Including Defenses Against Terrorism, Both Domestic And Foreign, And Including Where Disclosure Of The Matters Discussed Might Reveal Information That Could Be Used For The Purpose Of Committing, Or Avoiding Prosecution For, A Violation Of The Law, Pursuant To C.R.S. § 24-6-402(4)(d) Mayor Pro Tem Deakin moved to go in executive session to consider specialized details of security arrangements or investigations, including defenses against terrorism, both domestic and foreign, and including where disclosure of the matters discussed might reveal information that could be used for the purpose of committing, or avoiding prosecution for, a violation of the law, pursuant to C.R.S. § 24-6-402(4)(d). The motion was seconded by Trustee Charles. Mayor Carroll announced; It's Tuesday, March 5, 2019, the time is 6:05 pm. For the record, I am the presiding officer, Mayor Carroll. As required by the Open Meetings Law, this executive session is being electronically recorded. TOWN OF ERIE Page 1 Printed on 4/19/2019 Board of Trustees Meeting Minutes - Final March 5, 2019 Also present at this executive session are Mayor Pro Tem Deakin, Trustees Woog and Charles, Attorney Hilary Graham, Town Clerk Jessica Koenig, Public Works Director Todd Fesseden, Planning & Development Director Fred Starr, Communications & Marketing Manager Amber Luttrell, Economic Development Manager Ben Pratt, Finance Director Steve Felten, Sergeant Aaron Haddox, Sergeant Brendan Beggan, Sergeant Kevin Jamison, Commander Mike Haefele, Chief of Police Kim Stewart, Deputy Town Administrator Farrell Buller, and Town Administrator Malcolm Fleming. Chairperson Carroll annouced; the time is 7:23 pm, and the executive session has been concluded. For the record, if any person who participated in the executive session believes that any substantial discussion of any matters not included in the motion to go into the executive session occurred during the executive session, or that any action occurred during the executive session in violation of the Open Meetings Law, I would ask that you state your concerns for the record.
