AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ESCONDIDO, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A ZONE MAP AMENDMENT, AND A MASTER PLAN AND PRECISE DEVELOPMENT PERMIT FOR ADOPTON OF A PLANNED DEVELOPMENT ZONE Request the City Council adopt Ordinance No. 2024-16, approved December 4, 2024 with a vote of 4/1 (Martinez: No) a) Ordinance No. 2024-16 (Second Reading and Adoption) CURRENT BUSINESS 6. CERTIFICATION OF NOVEMBER 2024 GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION RESULTS Request the City Council adopt Resolution No. 2024-189 certifying the November 5, 2024, City of Escondido General Municipal results; adopt Ordinance No. 2024-08 establishing a local one- cent general transaction and use (sales) tax for twenty years, to be administered by the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration, including provisions for citizens’ oversight and accountability; adopt Resolution No. 2024-190 authorizing examination of Sales or Transactions and Use Tax records; adopt Resolution No. 2024-191 authorizing the Mayor to execute agreements with the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration for implementation of a local Transaction and Use Tax; and approve all other documents required by the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration for implementation of the transaction and use (sales) tax.
