Friday, October 12, 2018 – 8:30-10:30 A.M. – Atrium Building, Sloat Room I. Public Comment Up to 10 minutes will be reserved for public comment regarding historic preservation issues, except for any items scheduled for public hearing. II. Elect Vice-Chair a. Deliberation and action by HRB III. Historic Restoration Grant Requests - Deliberation and Action a. 446 East 12th Avenue (George Dorris House) – requests $4,500 for roof repair b. 286 High Street (McAlister House) – requests $1,500 for porch column and rail repair Staff will provide an update on available funding for the Historic Restoration Grant program, and a brief overview of each application. IV. Historic Property Protections in Eugene Staff will provide an informational overview on the protections afforded at the city, state, and federal-level. The presentation will include Eugene Code protections and responsibilities as a Certified Local Government. V. Outreach Letter to Property Owners The HRB will discuss and potentially approve a draft letter to use for outreach to property owners of eligible historic resources. VI. HRB Meeting Schedule and Future Projects The HRB Chair requests to hold more frequent general meetings of the HRB. Proposed meeting in November 2018 a. Starting in 2019 – general meeting every other month, 6 times a year (Jan, Mar, May, Jul, Sept, Nov) b. Discuss Next Steps / November Agenda – HRB Chair VII.
