APPROVED:5/7/2020 MINUTES Local Planning Agency Meeting 5:50 PM - Thursday, April 2, 2020 - City Hall CALL TO ORDER: 5:51 P.M. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF QUORUM AND PROPER NOTICE PRESENT: Member Karen LeHeup-Smith, Member Robert Morin, Member Marie Aliberti, Vice Chair Emily Lee and Chairman Michael Holland Chairman Holland explained how the meeting would be run due to the Governor's Executive Order #20-69 and stated two Commissioners would be attending via telephone. He stated anyone wishing to comment or ask questions regarding the proposed future land use amendment could send those to the City Clerk via email. He noted emails that were sent prior to the meeting and forwarded to the members. 1. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 1.1 February 6 1 2020 - Local Planning Agency Meeting February 20, 2020 - Local Planning Agency Meeting Moved by Member Lee, seconded by Member Aliberti, to approve the Minutes as submitted. Motion carried by the following votes: Ayes: Member LeHeup-Smith, Member Morin, Member Aliberti, Vice Chair Lee and Chairman Holland 2. CONSIDERATION, PUBLIC HEARING AND RECOMMENDATION 2.1 Large Scale Future Land Use Map Amendment to the Comprehensive Plan Located North of Clear Lake Road and East of Pine Meadows Golf Course Road (2020- CPLU-02) Lori Barnes, Development Services Director, reviewed the requested future land use amendment stating the current land use is Rural Transitional in Lake County and the requested use is Suburban Residential in the City of Eustis. She explained the requested land use and stated that there are factors that would limit the maximum allowable density. She reviewed the surrounding land use designations and stated staff has found the request to be compatible with the surrounding area and with the Comprehensive Plan and Land Development Regulations. She stated staff's request that the LPA transmit the amendment to the Commission for consideration. Chairman Holland asked Mr. Morin and Ms. Aliberti if they had any questions with Ms. Aliberti confirming that the property is contiguous. There were no further comments by the Board and no additional public emails regarding the issue.
