EVANSTON CITY COUNCIL Special M eeting August 23, 2016 The official record of proceedings for a special m eeting of the Evanston City Council was held in the Conference Room of City Hall on the above date. Mayor W illiam s led those in attendance in the pledge of allegiance to the Flag. The roll was called and with a quorum being present, Mayor Kent W illiam s called the m eeting to order at 5:30 p.m . Those present from the governing body at the start of m eeting were: Mayor W illiam s; Councilm em bers; Tim Lynch, Saundra Meyer, and W endy Schuler. Councilm em bers Andy Kopp, Evan Perkes, and David W elling were excused. Staff m em bers present were: City Attorney, Dennis Boal; Director of Adm inistrative Services/City Clerk, Am y Grenfell; City Treasurer, Kathy Defa; City Engineer, Brian Honey; Public W orks Director, Oop Hansen; Police Chief, Jon Kirby; Director of Parks and Recreation, Jay Dee Nielsen; Associate Planner, DuW ayne Jacobsen; and Deputy City Clerk, Nancy Stevenson. A group of interested citizens were also present. Approve Agenda Councilmember Schuler moved, Councilmember M eyer seconded, to approve the agenda. The m otion passed unanim ously with 4 yes votes: W illiam s, Lynch, Meyer, Schuler. Resolution 16-56 Councilmember M eyer introduced Resolution 16-56. Councilmember M eyer moved, Councilmember Lynch seconded, to adopt Resolution 16-56. Resolution 16-56: RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, W YOMING, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL CONSULTING SERVICES W ITH COMMUNITY BUILDERS, INC. TO PROVIDE TRAINING FO R CITIZENS W HO SERVE ON THE BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS OF GOVERNMENTAL ENTITIES. W HEREAS, there is a need to provide training for citizens who volunteer to serve on the boards and com m issions of governm ental entities; and W HEREAS, Com m unity Builders, Inc. has experience in providing such training; NOW , THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, W YOMING THAT: Section 1: The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and the City Clerk attest, on behalf of the City of Evanston, the Agreem ent for Professional Consulting Services with Com m unity Builders, Inc, a copy of which is attached hereto, to provide training for citizens who serve on the boards and com m issions of governm ental entities.
