CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING Minutes from Meeting on December 15, 2022 The meeting commenced at 9:33 a.m. Staff members in virtual attendance were Chief Examiner Michael Duerr, Danielle Marks, Kay Barnes, Chelan Robbins, Steven Hellyer and Bernice Delgado. ROLL CALL OF THE COMMISSION Present via Teams were Commission Chair Ethel McNeal, Commissioner Jo Metzger-Levin, Commissioner Scott Bader, and Legal Counsel Amy Allison. SUBMITTAL AND APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES Commissioner Scott Bader moved to approve the minutes of the November 17, 2022 meeting. Commissioner Jo Metzger-Levin seconded the motion. The motion was approved unanimously. PUBLIC COMMENT No public in attendance. No public comment submitted by correspondence. REVIEW OF THE PERSONNEL ACTION REPORT Commissioner Jo Metzger-Levin moved to approve the Personnel Action Report for November 17, 2022. Commissioner Scott Bader seconded the motion. The motion was approved unanimously. REVIEW OF THE CHIEF EXAMINER APPROVAL OF CALLS FOR APPLICANTS Commissioner Scott Bader moved to approve the Chief Examiner Approvals of Calls for Applicants for December 2022. Commissioner Jo Metzger-Levin seconded the motion. The motion was approved unanimously. REVIEW OF THE CHIEF EXAMINER CERTIFICATIONS OF ELIGIBLE REGISTERS Commissioner Jo Metzger-Levin moved to approve the Chief Examiner Certifications of Eligible Registers for December 2022. Commissioner Scott Bader seconded the motion. The motion was approved unanimously. NEW BUSINESS New Classification Specifications Chief Examiner Michael Duerr provided more detailed information on the job descriptions, citing their better defining the type of work and alignment with the private sector for position titles. IT Director Steven Hellyer mentioned the abundance of support for the changes. Commission Chair Ethel McNeal read the list of new classifications, to include: Senior Records Systems Specialist IT Support Specialist I IT Support Specialist II Senior IT Support Specialist Systems Administrator I Systems Administrator II Senior Systems Administrator Systems Analyst I Systems Analyst II Senior Systems Analyst Network Engineer I Network Engineer II Senior Network Engineer Security Analyst I Security Analyst II Senior Security Analyst Civil Service Commission Meeting December 15, 2022 Page 2 Commissioner Jo Metzger-Levin moved to approve new classification specifications listed above. Commissioner Scott Bader seconded the motion. The motion was approved unanimously.
