3. DISCUSSION ITEMS
A. Monthly Activity Report - Chief of Communications
Call volumes are remaining average. Staffing and personnel situation is great! Fully staffed at
the moment with only a couple of dispatchers completing training. Advised Chief's that she will
be going out in April for maternity leave and will send an e-mail with process changes in her
absence.
B. Review and Discuss ISO Rating and Review needs from dispatch for various agencies
Advised that dispatch has received several requests from agencies regarding ISO surveys.
Beverly will send out the survey answers to all departments.
C. Discussion and Consideration regarding potential amendments to Chief notification
procedures - Forest Hill FD
Chief Gutierrez shared that he doesn't want to make the dispatch center specifically cater to
Forest Hill, but would like to know about finalizing the procedures. Discussed adding a "Chief
Notification" unit into CAD to allow Chief's to customize when they want to be notified on
different incident types.
D. Review and Discuss Procedures related to Dispatch Notifications for Out of Service
Units/Personnel
Asking departments to be more proactive about notifying dispatch when units are unavailable
or out of service. Has caused some response delays recently.
E. Reports and Updates from Fire Departments
Edgecliff Village - Chief Ballew - ISO Rating was recently done in 2023, but was asking for the
survey.
Eagle Mountain Lake - Chief Blakeman - Fire boat now in service as of yesterday. "Marine 21"
F. Setting of Future Agenda Items
Chief Scott - asked about North & South Division Task Force Assignments. Consider a policy
amendment. Look to formalize a process. Chief Watson shared that he believes the ESD has
an interest in supporting upstaffing for fire weather. ESD is working to approve this. Daily
publishing of ICS.204.
Chief Scott - Changes made to Alpine software.
