TARRANT COUNTY REGIONAL FIRE ADVISORY BOARD Thursday, March 20, 2025 at 10:00 AM 213 North Race Street Everman, TX 76140 MINUTES 1. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER 10:03am PRESENT Azle Fire Blue Mound Fire Eagle Mountain Fire Edgecliff Village Fire Everman Fire Forest Hill Fire Tarrant County ESD #1 White Settlement Fire ABSENT Briar-Reno Fire Rendon Fire Tarrant County Fire Marshal 2. CITIZEN’S COMMENTS 3. DISCUSSION ITEMS A. Monthly Activity Report - Chief of Communications Call volumes are remaining average. Staffing and personnel situation is great! Fully staffed at the moment with only a couple of dispatchers completing training. Advised Chief's that she will be going out in April for maternity leave and will send an e-mail with process changes in her absence. B. Review and Discuss ISO Rating and Review needs from dispatch for various agencies Advised that dispatch has received several requests from agencies regarding ISO surveys. Beverly will send out the survey answers to all departments. C. Discussion and Consideration regarding potential amendments to Chief notification procedures - Forest Hill FD Chief Gutierrez shared that he doesn't want to make the dispatch center specifically cater to Forest Hill, but would like to know about finalizing the procedures. Discussed adding a "Chief Notification" unit into CAD to allow Chief's to customize when they want to be notified on different incident types. D. Review and Discuss Procedures related to Dispatch Notifications for Out of Service Units/Personnel Asking departments to be more proactive about notifying dispatch when units are unavailable or out of service. Has caused some response delays recently. E. Reports and Updates from Fire Departments Edgecliff Village - Chief Ballew - ISO Rating was recently done in 2023, but was asking for the survey. Eagle Mountain Lake - Chief Blakeman - Fire boat now in service as of yesterday. "Marine 21" F. Setting of Future Agenda Items Chief Scott - asked about North & South Division Task Force Assignments. Consider a policy amendment. Look to formalize a process. Chief Watson shared that he believes the ESD has an interest in supporting upstaffing for fire weather. ESD is working to approve this. Daily publishing of ICS.204. Chief Scott - Changes made to Alpine software. 4. CONSIDERATION AND POSSIBLE ACTION 5. EXECUTIVE SESSION 6. ADJOURN Next Meeting - 04/17/2024 @ 10:00am. Section 551.072 - Purchase, Sale, Exchange, Lease, or Value of Real Property. C. Section 551.073 - Deliberation Regarding Prospective Gift. D. Section 551.074 - Personnel Matters. E. Section 551.087- Deliberation Regarding Economic Development Negotiations. F. Section 551.089 - Deliberations Regarding Security Devices or Security Audits. According to the City of Everman Policy on Governance Process, individual citizen comments will be restricted to three (3) minutes unless otherwise determined by a majority vote of the Council. The Presiding Officer of the Board or Commission is responsible to enforce the time limit. Citizens may address the Board or Commission either during the Citizen Comments portion of the meeting or during deliberation of a listed agenda item. Members of the Board or Commission are only permitted by Law to discuss items that are listed on the agenda. Citizens wishing to make comments should notify the City Secretary as soon as possible. City Hall is wheelchair accessible. Parking spaces for disabled citizens are available. Requests for sign interpretative services must be made 48 hours prior to the meeting.
