City of Excelsior City Council Work Session MINUTES Monday, January 8, 2024 Trinity Episcopal Church - 322 Second Street, Excelsior, MN 55331 5:00 - 6:30 P.M. 1. CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL Acting Mayor Caron called the work session to order at 5:08 P.M. City Council: Mayor Carlson (arrived at 5:33 P.M.) and Councilmembers Caron, Dierking, Hersman, and Tyler Absent: None Also Present: City Manager Luger, Community Services Director Mullin and Administrative Services Director Williams 2. AGENDA APPROVAL Dierking moved, Hersman seconded, to approve the January 8, 2024 City Council Work Session Agenda. Motion carried 4/0. 3. SHORT-TERM RENTAL ORDINANCE Julia Mullin, Community Development Director gave a report on the Short-Term Rental Ordinance. The Council discussed the questions in the staff memo and provided staff with direction. Future discussion will continue to a future Work Session. 4.
