Minutes By: Stephanie Shelley Agenda Item #1 - Open The Town Council Work Session. Mayor Gurney Called The Town Council Work Session Meeting To Order At 6:01 P.M. Agenda Item #2 - Roll Call Town Council Members Present: Mayor Brad Gurney, Rl Panek, Hollie Mckinnley, Richard Cameron Excused: Tyler Thomas Staff Present: Stephanie Shelley- Recorder Others Present: Others Present Via Zoom: Larry Jenkins Agenda Item # 3- Town Council will Close the Work Session for a Closed Meeting per State Code 52-4-205. (1) A closed meeting described under Section (c)strategy sessions to discuss pending or reasonably imminent litigation; Councilwoman McKinney motioned to Close the Work Session for a Closed Meeting. Councilman Cameron seconded the motion. An Ordinance Adopting Amendments to Section 10.11.100. (C)., adding “#14. Public Parks and other Public Facilities” and to Section 10.11.200. (L)., adding “#25. Light Manufacturing and Sales”. 1 of 3  Approved Meeting Minutes Fairfield Town Council Work/Closed Session June 20, 2023 The Council engaged in a discussion regarding the amendments to Title 10. Agenda Item # 5 -Vote to Approve Title 10.00. An Ordinance Adopting Amendments to Section 10.11.100. (C)., adding “#14. Public Parks and other Public Facilities” and to Section 10.11.200. (L)., adding “#25. Light Manufacturing and Sales”. Councilwoman McKinney motioned to approve Ordinance number 06202023, Amending Title 10. Councilman Cameron seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Mayor Gurney - Yes Councilman Cameron - Yes Councilman Panek - Yes Councilwoman McKinney - Yes Agenda Item # 6 - Moving forward with the Town Park. The Council discussed the two renderings of the Park that Mayor Gurney and Councilman Cameron completed. They compared and reviewed the renderings to assess their suitability and alignment with the vision for the Park project. The Council members provided feedback, discussed any variations or additional details present in each rendering, and explored the possibility of combining elements from both renderings to create a cohesive plan. The discussion aimed to evaluate the renderings and determine the next steps for the Park project based on the available options. Agenda Item # 7 - Discussion On Old Business Councilwoman McKinney is requesting cost information for a project involving Durrant and McKinney. Mayor Gurney informs her that Councilman Thomas, who has the cost details, is currently out of town. McKinney wants to know the costs for both Durrant and McKinney portions. Councilman Panek informs the Council that the waterline was placed on the east side of the road. The Council discusses a bid and its cost. The Councilwoman emphasizes the importance of providing cost information to Durrant and McKinney, and Mayor Gurney agrees to contact Councilman Thomas for the information. McKinney also notes that the initial decision was made on August 9, 2022. Councilman Cameron will contact Durrant and let him know the progress.
