FAIRMONT PLANNING COMMISSION A special session of the Fairmont Planning Commission was held on March 7, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the Public Safety Building located at 500 Quincy Street. President Straight called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and asked for a roll call of members. APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM February 21, 2018 To be approved at the next regular meeting March 21, 2018 PUBLIC HEARING FOR March 7, 2018 None PUBLIC HEARING TO SET FOR APRIL 18, 2018 1. The Planning Commission will set a public hearing for the City of Fairmont’s Comprehensive Plan. President Straight asked for a motion to set the Comprehensive Plan for a public hearing. Commissioner Greene made a motion to set the Comprehensive Plan for a public hearing. Commissioner Richardson seconded the motion. Motion carried 9-0 NEW BUSINESS None CITIZENS PETITION (For items not listed on the agenda) Citizens must register in advance with the recording secretary None OTHER BUSINESS Staff Updates: Sandra Scaffidi: We invited Jesse Richardson to talk to all of us on March 21st for a quick refresher on our rules and regulations for the Planning Commission. We also a have a public hearing to set for a rezoning request. Also, congratulation to Walt [Colley] for becoming our newest City Councilman. Commissioners Comment: Walt Colley: I have been invited to speaking for the Hazelton’s Police on April 9th. ADJOURNMENT President Straight asked for a motion to adjourn. Commissioner Greene motioned to adjourn. Commissioner Yann seconded the motion. Motion carried 9-0
