FAIRMONT PLANNING COMMISSION The meeting of the Fairmont Planning Commission was held November 16th @ 7:00 the Public Safety Building 500 Quincy St. Fairmont WV. President Greene called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and asked for a roll call of members. ROLL CALL OF MEMBERS MEMBERS ABSENT / PRESENT Commissioner Bledsoe Absent Commissioner Jura Present Commissioner Richardson Absent Commissioner Straight Absent Commissioner Wean Present Commissioner Yann Present President Greene Present Commissioner Majic Present Commissioner Drennen Present CITY STAFF Director of Planning and Development – Shae Strait Assistant Planner- Carly O’Dell Jones Senior Staff Assistant- Kirstin Poluck A motion was made by Commissioner Yann to excuse Commissioner Strait and Commissioner Richardson. Motion Passed. APPROVAL OF MINUTES from November 16th, 2022 President Greene asked for everyone to read of the previous months minutes and look for corrections or additions. There was one error with the spelling of the Director Shae Strait. That will be amended and the minutes were approved. Director Shae Strait welcomed the newest member of the Planning Commission Jarred Drennen. NEW BUSINESS / PUBLIC HEARINGS 1. PC 22-13 - Bennie Kyle of 139 Bourbon St is petitioning to amend Table 3.A – Permitted Use Chart to add Urban Farm as a permitted use to all districts except Technology, Industrial, and Educational There was no one who was present to speak on behalf of the agenda item. The petition failed by lack of a motion. STAFF UPDATE Planning Director Strait updated the commission of the previously approved code updates. They will be introduced to the City Council in January. COMMISSIONER COMMENTS Commissioner Dreenen stated that he was happy to be on the board and offer his services. ADJOURNMENT President Greene asked for a motion to adjourn meeting. Commissioner Wean motioned to adjourn the meeting; Commissioner Jura seconded the motion. All were in favor. Motion approved
