NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR DISCUSSION OF POSSIBLE STATE CDBG APPLICATION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Fallen will conduct a public hearing on October 5, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. at the City Council
Chambers, 55 West Williams Avenue, Fallen, Nevada in order to discuss possible application for funding under the next fiscal year's
(July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022) State Community Development Block Grant(CDBG) Program and to solicit citizen input on possible
activities to be included in the application.
ELIGIBLE ACTIVITIES UNDER THE ABOVE ALLOCATION CONSIST OF: HOUSING REHABILITATION PROGRAMS, PUBLIC FACILITY AND
PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS PROJECTS, PUBLIC SERVICE PROGRAMS, PLANNING STUDIES, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BUSINESS
ASSISTANCE AND MICROENTERPRISE ACTIVITIES. ELIGIBLE ACTIVITIES PAID FOR WITH THE STATE CDBG FUNDS MUST MEET ONE OR
MORE OF THE THREE NATIONAL OBJECTIVES LISTED IN CDBG FEDERAL STATUTES AS FOLLOWS: BENEFIT TO LOW INCOME
HOUSEHOLDS OR PERSONS; ELIMINATION OF SLUMS AND BLIGHT; OR MEETING URGENT COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT NEED.
The purpose of this public hearing is to give citizens an opportunity to discuss proposed projects submitted to date and to suggest
further ideas. Proposed projects and estimated funding are listed below. Only projects listed here and proposed at the meeting will
be forwarded to the Council for approval.
Cottage School Renovation - $425,000
City Hall Breakroom and Women's Restroom ADA Improvements - $500,000
Street and Sidewalk ADA Improvements - $575,000
A final hearing will be held to discuss, approve and rank applications prior to submittal to the State.

on May 28, 2020, by Emergency Directive 026 entered on June 29, 2020 and by Emergency Directive 029 entered on July 31, 2020,
this Notice has been posted on or before September 21, 2020 at City Hall, to the City's website (https://fallonnevada.gov) and to the
State of Nevada public notice website (https://notice.nv.gov/).
