1) Meeting is called to order at 7:00 p.m.

a) Upcoming BRT Presentation
b) Increase in transportation budget amendment
c) First reading of the 20 mph speed limit ordinance

e) Opening of the Silver Line Extension
i) Further discussion from CACT on BRT
5) WMATA Bus Network Redesign Presentation
a) Questions and Discussion of the goals and objectives of the project, as well as environmental
aspects
b) Concern over process (starting with outreach and approaching users vs. having independent
overarching goals)
c) Question as to flexibility of end product and timeline
i) Looking to be finalized for the FY25 Budget and ideally is responsive to needs
d) Question as to whether as needed routes are being considered
i) At this stage, yes
e) Discussion of whether a similar project has been done before, where else is doing similar
overhauls
6) Discussion with Zac on DPW and Ongoing projects
a) Transportation Engineer role still vacant, causing significant delays

b) The Great Falls and Dorchester rapid flashing beacon
i) Leaving options open for possible future bump out
ii) Suggestion of bike lane and flexi poles from CACT, flexi poles dismissed
c) Update on Speed limit ordinance
d) Discussion of NTC projects, difficulty due to staff vacancies, adding more projects just slows
down the process more, putting too high of a work load on staff
e) Virginia and Great Falls has no progress because of staff vacancy, could be good project for
rapid response team if that gets approved, not able to give updates on any other NTC projects
except Greenway Downs
f) Outline of hiring process and difficulties (lower salary than similar positions, increased
workload, CACT reputation of being untrusting)
i) Agreement for Dave and Zac to talk off line about some of the issues
g) Issue of higher constructions costs and deterioration times of existing city infrastructure and
proposed rapid solutions
h) List of ongoing projects has not been updated, not accessible
7) Council Quarterly Work Plan and Community Profile
8) NTC Updates
a) Discussion of East Columbia Street
i) Questions about whether light solutions are possible, why the speed trailer has not been
moved
ii) Desire to implement a more direct line of communication between different city staff and
clarify minutes protocol
iii) Discussion of new motion to propose hard solutions for Columbia street as a reaction to
lack of progress
9) Andrew’s Dashboard
a) Discussion over responsibility of staff project vs CACT driven project
b) Decision to discuss further next month
