January 2023 Citizens Advisory Committee on Transportation Meeting Minutes 1) Meeting is called to order at 7:00 p.m. 2) Administration a. Roll call a. Dave Gustafson (Chair) - Present b. Unanimous election of both Erin Kampschroer as chair and reelection of Jason Garman as vice chair 3) Discussion of Edits to Annual Report to Council a) Addition of more bike and public transit language to be added prior to sending to council 4) Public Comment a) John shows interest in joining the committee and wanted to observe the group. 5) Discussion of Redline of Neighborhood Traffic Calming (NTC) Handbook Update a) Presentation by Kerri on the City Council work item, the previous discussions with CACT and NTC Staff, and presentation of the current redlined draft b) Discussion of voting requirements and concerns over the balance between ensuring community engagement and being able to act in the case of lower participation rates c) Decision to send edits to Kerri within two weeks for the final version to be presented at February meeting 6) Brief presentation of the Council Work Plan Quarterly Update 7) CACT Annual Retreat, Part I a) Introduction of concept and purpose of retreat, staff report presented b) Binder of CACT Reference materials passed out and committee is given a brief time to review c) Top 3 exercise: meeting members given 3 post-its and 10 minutes to write down their top three reasons for their involvement on the committee d) Loop and group exercise leading to discussions of priorities and interests of the group 8) Brief presentation of Upcoming Agenda items 9) Adjourn (approx.11:20 p.m.), passes 6-0 .
