APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
• None were approved.
OLD BUSINESS:
• Affordable Housing Policy
HSAC is planning a joint meeting with the Housing Commission to review the City’s
Affordable Housing Policy. Craig asked members to submit questions or issues to discuss
with the Housing Commission so that we can put together an agenda for a meeting in late
spring or early summer. The Housing Commission is amenable to the joint meeting.
NEW BUSINESS:
• Community Services Fund program data for FY 2016
Sue presented year end Fiscal Year 2016 statistics from the Community Services Fund
grantees.
• Community Services Fund FY 2017 program change request
Shelter House was granted funds in Fiscal Year 2017 to provide rent to families living at
Ives House. They are now changing the scope of the program to rent to one family who
will use a Housing Choice Voucher. The families in residence are being relocated.
Shelter House requested to repurpose their $5,500 in unspent funds to assist with the
relocation expenses and to pay some rent for the house during the time it is unoccupied.
Members unanimously voted to allow $2,500 to be used for relocation expenses and will
allocate the remaining $3,000 to other grantees at the December HSAC meeting.

STAFF REPORT:
• Nancy reported that staff met with Bob Young and the management at the Reed Building
to discuss the Teacher Workforce Units. Mr. Young had expressed dissatisfaction with
the number of teachers who have been able to take advantage of the units. A strategy was
developed to increase the number of teachers versus school staff or city staff who occupy
those units.
MEETING ADJOURNMENT:
The meeting adjourned at 7:35 p.m. The next meeting is scheduled for December 15, 2016 at
6:30 pm.
