MINUTES Human Services Advisory Council City of Falls Church PURPOSE OF MEETING: To advise City Council on human services delivery to Falls Church citizens. DATE OF MEETING: May18, 2018 PLACE OF MEETING: Oak Room, City Hall MEETING CALLED TO ORDER BY NICOLE NEWMAN: at 6:42 p.m. THOSE PRESENT: HSAC Members: Staff: Craig Cheney Nancy Vincent Alisa Macht Sue Richter Nicole Newman (chair) City Council Liaison Anne Norloff Marybeth Connelly Debra Z. Roth Student Representative Tahaseen Shaik OLD BUSINESS:  Planning for Annual Report Ms. Richter will send utilization statistics to Ms. Newman. NEW BUSINESS:  Sue Richter retires Ms. Richter let everyone know that she will be retiring in July.  Review of Comprehensive Plan chapter: Housing a Complete Community HSAC members reviewed the draft chapter of the Comprehensive Plan and made the following comments: remove references to neighborhood stability; take out the language as written about tear downs; do not separate neighborhoods or have signage that separates neighborhoods; reword sections dealing with residents with disabilities, seniors, and low income; encourage connectivity through civic associations.  July meeting cancelled The members decided to cancel the July meeting.
