Call 703 248-5014, (TTY 711).  Tony Dudley presented on three capital improvement projects as well as some other projects in the pipeline Hillwood Avenue 1 • This project has experienced delays • County went back and forth on easements • Triangle Contracting LLC. o Company has been selected. o Council was briefed on 16 Jan 24. Looks to approve shortly. o Sep final date. • How do we share this good news with the Public? Is there any info plan or public information needed to let folks know what to expect? A: We have a website that shares the good news of Hillwood Number #1 Upper Lincoln Avenue • Portion north of west street • Construction plans have been ready but waiting on funding • This was presented to EPA and were awarded $400K in grants for this project and the EPA now has all required document except the final bid packet • City is working to organize the project for award. Once a final review, the project will go out for bid (3-5 month bid project) • Pretty straightforward; no right of way required • The water speeds downhill Greening of Lincoln • Consists of three distinct segments of work: Traffic Calming, Stormwater (water quality) and Pedestrian (sidewalk) • $4M allocated for this project • Discussion of resident desire to retain parking on both sides of street will require the city to claw back into its right of way in some areas. • Bike paths will be difficult to add to all parts of this area. Other Project Update • $4M of state ARPA money to Greening of Lincoln • Sherrold Ave + Hillwood #2- a $9M state funding stream • Next meeting, Lincoln and West Street vic WO&D from the modeling work the City has done • Is work on Upper Lincoln going to worsen intersection of Lincoln and West Julianne Hamilton Behailu Kifle briefed us on Flow Equalization Facility • Tripps Run and Four Mile Run are the two-sewer shed • Review of Contracted capacity for Fairfax (1MGD) and Arlington (.8MGD) o Sisslers 80% of flow (.8 MGD) o Tinner Hill 15 (.13) o Cedar 5% (.07) • City in need of additional capacity, especially towards Fairfax County • Looking to construct Equalization Facilities in the Sisslers sub-shed with goal of reducing system peak factor to 1.5 MGD • 5.8 MGD is max flow without causing backups through the manholes • Peak Factor takes into account unknown water coming into the system • Storage options are Storage Tank or Parallel Pipe • Infiltration (from ground) and In-Flow (houses) • We are trying to get ahead of the city approaching max peak flows. • Question. Should we consider some rule/law change requiring citizens from disconnecting their individual resident downspouts etc.? the City is still discussing about this but no plan or decision so far.
