MINUTES OF SOLID WASTE MANGEMENT PLAN ADVISORY COMMITTEE PURPOSE OF MEETING: Prepare Twenty (20) year Solid Waste Management Plan to present to City Council for consideration before submitting to Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) before July 1, 2024. What is a Solid Waste Management Plan? 2. Nomination of Officers: MOTION: Lonnie Marquetti moved, seconded by Christopher Behr to nominate Sarah Bayldon for the position of Chair. There were no other nominations, and upon unanimous voice vote, Ms. Bayldon was elected Chair. MOTION Lonnie Marquetti moved, seconded by Brian Fowler to nominate Christopher Behr for the position of Vice Chair. There were no other nominations, and upon unanimous voice vote, Mr. Behr was elected Vice Chair. 3. Adoption of Rules of Procedure: MOTION: Upon motion and unanimous voice vote, the members adopted the Rules of Procedure as presented. 4. Review Resolution for Solid Waste Management Plan Advisory Committee 5. Review SWMP: Members were asked to review Chapter 4 of the Plan prior to the next meeting. 6. Meet consultants: Gershman, Brickner, and Bratton, Inc. (GBB) 7.
