A. STUDY SESSION A.1 23-532 Discuss Regular Agenda items. A.2 23-534 Discuss 2023 Planning and Zoning Commission retreat and bus tour. A.3 23-531 Receive an update from the Planning and Zoning Commission Landscaping subcommittee. A.4 23-536 Discuss APA Texas Midwest Section 2023 Elected and Appointed Officials Workshop. A.5 23-533 Discuss agenda items for future Planning and Zoning Commission consideration. B. CITIZEN COMMENTS City of Farmers Branch Page 1 Printed on 8/10/2023 Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting Agenda August 14, 2023 This agenda item provides an opportunity for citizens to address the Planning and Zoning Commission on any matter that is not posted on the agenda. Anyone wishing to address the Commission should complete a Citizen Comments Registration Form and submit it to the Chairman prior to the start of the meeting. There is a three (3) minute time limit for each citizen to speak with a reasonable limitation on speakers on one topic or item with a maximum of fifteen total minutes on the same topic item. Anyone wishing to speak shall be courteous and cordial. The Planning and Zoning Commission is not permitted to take action on any subject raised by a speaker during Citizen Comments. However, the Planning and Zoning Commission may have the item placed on a future agenda for action; refer the item to the Director of Planning for further study or action; briefly state existing City policy; or provide a brief statement of factual information in response to the inquiry. C. REGULAR AGENDA ITEMS C.1 23-537 Consider approval of the July 24, 2023 Planning and Zoning Commission Minutes; and take appropriate action. D. PUBLIC HEARING D.1 23-ZA-03 Conduct a public hearing and consider the request to rezone approximately 0.54 acres located at 2877 LBJ Freeway, described as Lots 1 and 2, Block 1, Jack Gay Subdivision, from Office District (O) to Local Retail District-2 (LR-2); and take appropriate action. E. ADJOURNMENT This Board or Commission may convene into executive session at anytime during the meeting pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 551.071 (2) for the purpose of seeking confidential legal advice from the City Attorney on any agenda item.
