This download may be accessed from any computer with Internet access. Any individual who wishes to speak on an agenda item should fill out a Registration Form for Appearance before the Planning and Zoning Commission (white card located in the back of the Council Chambers) and submit the completed card to The Chair member prior to the start of the meeting. A. STUDY SESSION A.1 23-580 Discuss Regular Agenda items. A.2 23-581 Planning & Zoning Commission training session from City Attorney’s Office. A.3 23-582 Receive an update from the Planning and Zoning Commission Landscaping and Tree Preservation Subcommittee (LTPS). A.4 23-583 Discuss agenda items for future Planning and Zoning Commission consideration. B. CITIZEN COMMENTS This agenda item provides an opportunity for citizens to address the Planning and Zoning Commission on any matter that is not posted on the agenda. Anyone wishing to address the Commission should complete a Citizen Comments Registration Form and submit it to the Chairman prior to the start of the meeting. There is a three (3) minute time limit for each citizen to speak with a reasonable limitation on speakers on one topic or item with a maximum of fifteen total minutes on the same topic item. Anyone wishing to speak shall be courteous and cordial. The Planning and Zoning Commission is not permitted to take action on any subject raised by a speaker during Citizen Comments. However, the Planning and Zoning Commission may have the item placed on a future agenda for action; refer the item to the Director of Planning for further study or action; briefly state existing City policy; or provide a brief statement of factual information in response to the inquiry. REGULAR AGENDA ITEMS C.1 23-584 Consider approval of the August 14, 2023 Planning and Zoning Commission Minutes; and take appropriate action. D. PUBLIC HEARING D.1 23-SP-03 Conduct a public hearing and consider Special Exception requests for a mixed-use residential development on approximately 2.97 acres located at 2427 Carrick Street; and take appropriate action. D.2 23-SU-05 Conduct a public hearing and consider the request for a Specific Use Permit for a Commercial Amusement development on approximately 1.55 acres located at 2330 Jett Street; and take appropriate action. E. ADJOURNMENT This Board or Commission may convene into executive session at anytime during the meeting pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 551.071 (2) for the purpose of seeking confidential legal advice from the City Attorney on any agenda item. Farmers Branch City Hall is wheelchair accessible. Access to the building and special parking are available at the main entrance facing William Dodson Parkway.
