BOARD OF LICENSE COMMISSIONERS City Hall, 718 Main Street FITCHBURG CITY CLERK Fitchburg MA 01420 Dec 21 2021 9:03 am (978) 829-1820 Daniel Sarefield, Chairman Richard Boscardin John Zarrella MINUTES OF MEETING A regular meeting of the Board of License Commissioners was held on December 6, 2021 over the Zoom meeting platform, and called to order by Commissioner Sarefield at 6:02 PM. Commissioner Boscardin was also present at the meeting. Commissioner Zarrella was absent. FPD Liaison Lieutenant Howe and Provisional City Clerk Amanda Alford were present. I. REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF PRIOR MEETING(S) The minutes of November 15, 2021 were approved by unanimous consent 2/0. II. APPLICATIONS: Taxi Driver - NEW Ryan Marchesini – City Cab, Co. Mr. Marchesini was present at the meeting. Commissioner Sarefield noted that the Commission would need to enter into Executive Session. Upon returning from Executive Session, application was denied by a roll call vote 2/0. Solicitor License for 2021-2022 - NEW Craig LaPine - Power Home Remodeling Mr. LaPine was present at the meeting. Commissioner Sarefield asked if he had previous experience soliciting. Mr. LaPine stated that he did not have prior experience and that he had just began working for Power Home Remodeling. He indicated that the company provided training about the proper etiquette when soliciting. Commissioner Sarefield reminded the applicant to contact Dispatch each day that he worked in Fitchburg, wear his approved license, and also wear identifying clothing for the business. He also noted the days and hours that he was permitted to solicit. Mr. Chris Graham and Ms. Debra Graham were present at the meeting. Commissioner Sarefield asked where they planned to put the pool tables. Mr. Graham explained that the pool tables are the same tables that were in the establishment when they purchased it and they are located behind the bar.
