FORTY FORT BOROUGH COUNCIL WORK SESSION MINUTES MONDAY, NOVEMBER 18, 2024 The Forty Fort Borough council held a work session on Monday, November 18, 2024 at the Forty Fort Borough Bldg., 1271 Wyoming Ave., with council V-P, Cara Devine, presiding. V-P Devine called the mee ng to order at 6:30 PM with the following council members present: Phil Mertz, Frank Mazza, Dave Sieminski, Kristy Dadurka & Sara Michaels. Thomas J. Murray, III, was absent. Also present were A y. Greg Skibitsky, Mayor Brian Thomas, Chief Dan Hunsinger, Code O cer, Tom Craig, DPW foreman, Rick Kamus & Borough Manager, Bonnie Arnone. MINUTES AND REPORTS: The following minutes and reports have been provided to council for their review and will be voted upon at the December 2, 2024 mee ng: 10/21/24 Council work session minutes 11/4/24 Council mee ng minutes October 2024 Code O ce Report October 2024 Police Chief Report October 2024 Kingston/Forty Fort Fire Chief Report October 2024 Treasurer’s Report October 2024 Tax Collector’s Report October 2024 Managers me sheets 9/24/24 WVSA mee ng minutes 3rd qtr. 2024 SPCA Report Mr. Kamus stated that he would like to have street sweeping signs posted on all borough streets for next year to achieve the cleanliness of all roadways from dirt and leaves. The signs to be posted on streets designated as a “Snow Route” would have that addi onal verbiage on them. This may cost in the vicinity of $30,000.00. Use of the remaining American Recovery Act funding may be considered. Mr. Craig stated that an alternate member is needed for the UCC Appeals Board which currently has three (3) members and no alternates. A discussion followed regarding the plan review for the LIU building on Slocum St. and the need for a joint mee ng with BIU, LIU and their engineer & contractor. Mayor Thomas will reach out to BIU to facilitate this mee ng. Mr. Kamus stated that following the installa on of new cameras at the park, it was discovered that there is a need for ve (5) addi onal cameras. This was also considered as a possible use of the remaining American Recovery Act funds. With there being no further business to discuss, a mo on to adjourn was made by Mr. Mazza at 7:02 PM and seconded by Mr. Mertz. The next mee ng will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024 at 6:00 PM.
