Regular Meeting Minutes of the Fountain City Common Council
Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 6:30 PM
The meeting was called to order at 6:30 PM by Mayor Ben Adank. Roll call: Christine Williamson, Barb Schmidtknecht,
Peter Schaffner, David Endres, Ryan Ligman, present, and Stephen Qualy present via phone. The Pledge of Allegiance
was recited.
Motion Stephen, second Ryan to approve the minutes from Wednesday, December 11, 2024. Motion carried.
The new Deputy Clerk, Michele Klein, was introduced and welcomed by the council.
Motion Ryan, second Christine, to approve Resolution #01-2025 in support of the Broadband Equity, Access, and
Deployment Program Project. Motion carried.
Motion Peter, second Stephen to approve inserting the medical coverage policy into the Employee Handbook. Motion
carried.
Motion Peter, second David to approve the 2025 Law Enforcement Contract with Buffalo County for $45,404. Motion
carried.
Motion Chris, second Ryan to approve operator’s license for Markus Knudsen. Motion Carried.
Motion Chris, second Barb to approve payment of the bills as presented. Motion carried.
Motion Chris, second Ryan to adjourn at 7:07 pm. Motion carried.
