Regular Meeting Minutes of the Fountain City Common Council
Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at 6:30 PM
The meeting was called to order at 6:30 PM by Mayor Ben Adank. Roll call: Christine Williamson, Barb Schmidtknecht,
Peter Schaffner, David Endres, Ryan Ligman, and Stephen Qualy all present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Motion Chris, second Stephen to approve the minutes from Wednesday, January 15, 2025. Motion carried.
Motion Peter, second Ryan to advertising for a Grant Administrator, not to exceed $25,000 and the FFP committee can
award the bid. Motion carried.
Motion Barb, second Peter to approve the draft of the Grant Agreement for the Flexible Facility Program (FFP). Motion
carried.
Motion Ryan, second Stephen to renew the Permanent Cemetery Fund CD of $89,800 maturing on February 28, 2025 for
6 months @ 4.0% and putting the earned interest into the Special Revenue Cemetery Fund for O & M; and renew the
Water Repair/Replacement CD of $90,533.41 maturing on March 4, 2025 for 6 months at 4.0% and letting the interest
compound. Motion carried.
Motion Ryan, second David to approve operator’s license for Alexis Roppe. Motion Carried.
Motion Chris, second Ryan to approve payment of the bills as presented. Motion carried.
Motion Chris, second Ryan to adjourn at 7:47 pm. Motion carried.
