Regular Meeting Minutes of the Fountain City Common Council
Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at 6:00 PM
The meeting was called to order at 6:00 PM by Mayor Ben Adank. Roll call: Christine Williamson, Barb Schmidtknecht,
Stephen Qualy, Scott Feraro, and David Endres, present; Peter Schaffner absent The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Public Hearing for Vacation of Spring Street.
Public Hearing for Vacation of Truman Street.
Motion B. Schmidtknecht, second D. Endres to approve the open and closed minutes of February 18, 2026. Motion
carried.
Motion S. Feraro, second B. Schmidtknecht to approve the City Administrator/Treasurer position and start the search to
fill the position as written in the description provided. B. Schmidtknecht requested a roll call vote: C. Williamson - no, D.
Endres – no, S. Qualy – no, B. Schmidtknecht - yes, and S. Feraro – yes. Motion denied
Motion S. Qualy, second D. Endres to approve Resolution 2026-02 Establishing the Official Fountain City Public Library.
Motion carried.
Motion B. Schmidtknecht, second S. Qualy to approve Resolution 2026-03 Adopting the National Incident Management
System as the Emergency Management System for the City of Fountain City. Motion carried.
Motion B. Schmidtknecht, second D. Endres to approve Resolution 2026-04 Vacating a Portion of Spring Street. Motion
carried.
Motion B. Schmidtknecht, second S. Qualy to approve the bills as presented. Motion carried.
Motion S. Feraro, second D. Endres to adjourn at 8:12 PM. Motion carried.
