Regular Meeting Minutes of the Fountain City Common Council
Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at 6:00 PM
The meeting was called to order at 6:00 PM by Mayor Ben Adank. Roll call: Christine Williamson, Barb Schmidtknecht,
Peter Schaffner, Stephen Qualy, and David Endres, present; Scott Feraro absent. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Motion C. Williamson, second S. Qualy to approve the minutes of December 10, 2025. Motion carried.
Motion C. Williamson, second P. Schaffer to adopt Ordinance #72 Sand Hauling establishing fees and penalties. Motion
carried.
Motion B. Schmidtknecht, second C. Williamson to adopt Sewer Ordinance 13D regulating sewer use and user charges.
Motion carried.
Motion P. Schaffner, second D. Endres to approve the Preliminary Resolution to Vacate a Portion of Spring Street.
Motion carried.
Motion P. Schaffner, second B. Schmidtknecht to approve the Preliminary Resolution to Vacate a Portion of Truman
Street. Motion carried.
Motion C. Williamson, second S. Qualy to approve the Operator License for Coral Bausman, Mary Lee Flury and
Mercedes LaBonne. Motion carried.
Motion C. Williamson, second S. Qualy to approve the bills as presented. Motion carried.
Motion C. Williamson, second B. Schmidtknecht to adjourn at 6:43 PM. Motion carried.
