POLICE/PERSONNEL & HEALTH/SAFETY COMMITTEE MEETING January 8, 2025 - 5:00 pm Minutes prepared by: Barb Schmidtknecht The meeting was called to order at 5:03 pm by Barb Schmidtknecht. Present: David Endres, Peter Schaffner, Barb Schmidtknecht, Mayor Ben Adank. Guests: Sheriff Mike Osmand and Deputy Ryan Howell. Motion Peter, second David to approve minutes of the November 13, 2024 meeting. Motion carried and minutes were approved. Mike Osmond presented a new contract for law enforcement services. He also provided details on the flock camera system and suggestions for an ordinance that would assist the city in fine collection for violations. Motion Peter, second David to recommend to Council to renew the law enforcement contract to include the flock system. Motion carried. It was agreed to continue law enforcement services in January. Barb provided an update on the deputy clerk position. It was agreed to recommend to Council an amendment to the Health and Life Insurance section in the Employee Handbook to include an option for employees to seek other health insurance coverage with 85% employer/15% employee for employee and 50% employer/50% employee cost share for spouses and dependents. Motion Peter, second David to adjourn. Motion carried and the meeting adjourned at 6:34 pm.
