POLICE/PERSONNEL & HEALTH/SAFETY COMMITTEE MEETING July 21, 2025 - 4:00 pm Minutes prepared by: Barb Schmidtknecht The meeting was called to order at 4:00 pm by Barb Schmidtknecht. Roll call: David Endres, Peter Schaffner, Barb Schmidtknecht all present. Others present: Mayor Ben Adank. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Motion Peter, second David to approve minutes of the June 3, 2025 meeting. Motion carried and minutes were approved. The trax system fine & penalties were reviewed. It was agreed to forward increased fine recommendations to the council for approval. The affected ordinances will need to be updated and approved. The committee agreed to remove the forfeiture amounts from the ordinances affected and include them in an ordinance fee sheet. Consideration of alternative options for employee health insurance will continue. To consider a motion to convene in Closed Session under section 19.85(1)(c) of the Wisconsin Statutes for the purpose of considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. Motion Peter, second David to go into closed session. Roll call: Peter, David, and Barb all voting yes. The meeting went into closed session at 4:55 pm. (closed session) The meeting returned to open session at 5:24 pm. Motion Peter, second David to deny the request from the clerk-treasurer for a health insurance coverage exception. Motion carried. Motion Barb, second Peter to adjourn. Motion carried and the meeting adjourned at 5:25 pm.
