POLICE/PERSONNEL & HEALTH/SAFETY COMMITTEE MEETING
March 4, 2026 - 3:00 pm

The meeting was called to order at 3:30 pm by Barb Schmidtknecht. Roll call: David Endres,
Peter Schaffner and Barb Schmidtknecht all present. Others present: Mayor Ben Adank and
Clerk-Treasurer Marcia Larson. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Motion Peter, second David to approve the minutes of the January 26, 2026, meeting. Motion
carried and minutes were approved.
The library search will move forward after approval of a resolution to establish the library and
the appointment of a library board.
The law enforcement office will be moved to the inner office near council chambers. It was
agreed to donate the ammunition left in the office to Buffalo County. The rifle memorializing
James Zeller will be donated to the Historical Society.
A draft of the clerk job description was reviewed and feedback was provided.
Motion Peter second David to adjourn. Motion carried and the meeting adjourned at 3:57 pm.
