The mee ng was called to order at 4:00 pm by Peter Scha ner. Roll call: Peter Scha ner. Barb
Schmidtknecht, David Endres absent. Others present: Mayor Ben Adank, Travis Williamson,
Judith Ganger, Heidi Stanton. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Ci zens’ comments: Drainage at 210 South Main.
Richard Gabe called in at 4:34 to ask about the abandonment of Truman Street. Peter explained
the commi ee had discussed and will recommend not abandoning Truman Street at this me.
Call ended at 4:38.
Mo on Barb, second Peter to approve the minutes of the February 28, 2026, mee ng. Mo on
carried and the minutes were approved.
Items discussed:
A resolution to adopt NIMS as the city’s primary way to manage an emergency was forwarded to
council.
Emergency operations plan was forwarded to the County.
Houses with springs are going to sewer. Develop a list. Implement a plan to eliminate spring
water from being pumped into city sewer.
Locate / repair curb stops on Justin Hill Street
Committee will recommend placing snow at old recycling center.
Parking on hard surfaces. Part of the overall community assessment is being completed.
Parking trailers on City streets. Add a section to currant parking ordinance that requires trailers
on public streets to remain hooked to tow vehicles and follow 48-hour parking limits.
Motion Peter, second Barb to adjourn, Motion carried and the meeting adjourned at 5:00 pm.
