BOH MEETING MINUTES 4/5/2023 In attendance: Bridget Sweet, Timothy Cochrane Jr., Member; Cathleen Liberty, Director; Ginny McNeil, Health Agent; Alicia Sullivan, Public Health Nurse; Cassia Montiero, Metacomet Shared Service Grant Epidemiologist; John Robertson, Shared Service Grant Regional Inspector; Steve Sherlock recording and Maureen Canesi, Administrative Assistant. Vice Chair, Tim Cochrane called the Meeting called to order at 5:02 pm APPROVAL OF MINUTES Chair Bridget Sweet made a motion to accept the BOH Minutes of 3/1/23. Member, Tim Cochrane seconded the motion. Member Tim Cochrane polled the Board and the motion passed unanimously. OLD BUSINESS 2023 Sales Regulations CHECKLIST FOR POLICY DECISIONS Health Director Cathleen Liberty recommended that this discussion be deferred to the May BOH meeting. NEW BUSINESS Review Current Permit Option for Food Operations Health Director Cathleen Liberty recommended that the Board defer this agenda item to the May BOH meeting. Public Municipal Meeting Update Health Director Cathleen Liberty updated the Board about the Open Meeting Law which is now extended to March 31, 2025. This law pertains to public bodies allowing them to hold meetings remotely without a quorum of the public body physically present at a meeting location, and to provide "adequate, alternative" access to remote meetings Metacomet Shared Service Grant Inspector Update John Robertson, Regional Inspector, updated the board with the regional inspector report for the month of March, 2023. Metacomet Public Health Nurse Update Public Health Nurse Alicia Sullivan updated the board with the public health report for the month of March, 2023. Metacomet Shared Service Grant Epidemiologist Update Cassia Monteiro, Epidemiologist, updated the board with the epidemiologist report for the month of March, 2023. CITIZENS COMMENTARY Steve Sherlock asked the Board what the date is for the Health Fair: May 24th, 3-6pm at the Franklin Public Library. He also asked a question regarding the inspection process of ranking Risk Based inspections: Health Director Cathleen Liberty informed him that it has not been implemented yet. ADJOURNMENT Chair Bridget Sweet made a motion to adjourn at 5:15 pm.
