CALL TO ORDER: ► Chair Sweet called the meeting to order at 5:00 pm.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: ►May 1, 2024.
►MOTION to Approve the May 1, 2024 meeting minutes by Mu-Chow. SECOND by Harris. No
discussion. ►ROLL CALL VOTE: Harris-YES; Mu-Chow-YES, Sweet-YES; ►VOTE: Yes-3,
No-0, Absent-0.
NEW BUSINESS
Local upgrade variance for 9 Julie Dawn Drive
Director Liberty noted that Steve Donatelli, Title 5 consultant recommended approving the local upgrade
variance. The board agreed to approve the local upgrade variance for 9 Julie Dawn Drive.Motion to
approve the variance by Harris. Second by Mu-Chow. Discussion: Bridget asked what the perc test
rate was but it wasn’t indicated on the local upgrade variance. Roll Call Vote: Harris-Yes;
Mu-Chow-yes. Sweet-yes. Vote: Yes-3, No-0, Absent-0.
Shared Kitchen Request
Director Liberty noted that the Kitchen at White Barn in Wrentham would like to prepare their restaurant
food in the Birchwood kitchen facility in Franklin. The SOP was accurate and Liberty recommends the
board approve the shared kitchen request. Bridget notes that we will approve the practice for six months
and get feedback after the six months to make sure the shared kitchen is working out.
La Cantina variance request
Director Liberty discussed the variance request to open the garage doors at the winery during appropriate
weather. Director Liberty noted the proposal to have a pest control company with monthly visits. Director
Liberty recommends to the board to grant the variance request. Sweet discussed the challenges with flies
in the winery. No fly strips will be allowed and any pest/fly problems that arise from the doors being open
the variance will be revoked.
