‭BOH MEETING MINUTES‬ ‭September 4, 2024‬ ‭In attendance: Bridget Sweet (via Google Meet), Chair; Jeffrey Harris, Vice Chair; Kim Mu-Chow,‬ ‭Member; Cathleen Liberty, Director; Ginny McNeil, Health Agent, Alicia Sullivan; Public Health Nurse‬ ‭Guests: Alan Earls; Steve Sherlock‬ ‭CALL TO ORDER: ► Chair Sweet called the meeting to order at 5:00 pm.‬ ‭APPROVAL OF MINUTES: ►June 5, 2024.‬ ‭►MOTION to Approve the June 5, 2024 meeting minutes with changes to date and grammatical‬ ‭error by Harris. SECOND by Mu-Chow. No discussion. ►ROLL CALL VOTE: Harris-YES;‬ ‭Mu-Chow-YES, Sweet-YES; ►VOTE: Yes-3, No-0, Absent-0.‬ ‭NEW BUSINESS‬ ‭Local upgrade variance for 9 Julie Dawn Drive-revised plans 8/1/24‬ ‭Director Liberty noted that Steve Donatelli, Title 5 consultant recommended approving the local upgrade‬ ‭variance for the revised plans. The board agreed to approve the local upgrade variance for 9 Julie Dawn‬ ‭Drive.‬‭Motion to approve the variance by Harris. Second‬‭by Mu-Chow. No Discussion: Roll Call‬ ‭Vote: Harris-yes; Mu-Chow-yes; Sweet-yes. Vote: Yes-3, No-0, Absent-0.‬ ‭Sunshine Lily Spa‬ ‭Chair Sweet opened up the request for a hearing by the owner of Sunshine Lily Spa at 5:20 pm. Director‬ ‭Liberty noted that the facility was in violation of the Bodyworks regulation in that two staff were working‬ ‭in the facility without a therapist license from the health department and had been closed since the initial‬ ‭inspection in July. After much discussion with the owner of the facility and the members of the Board of‬ ‭Health the Board voted to adopt a provisional permit for the facility with monthly inspections through‬ ‭2024. Failure to be in compliance will result in revocation of the license.‬ ‭Motion to approve the provisional permit by Harris, Second by Mu-Chow. Vote: Yes 3, No-0, Absent-0.‬ ‭Metacomet Shared Service Grant Inspector Update‬ ‭Director Liberty updated the board that an inspector has been hired and will start the third week of‬ ‭September.‬ ‭Metacomet Public Health Nurse Update‬ ‭The public gave her monthly update and also discussed the fall health fair on September 25, 2024 and the‬ ‭flu clinic being offered to adults and seniors in October.‬ ‭CITIZENS COMMENTARY‬ ‭Member Mu-Chow asked about the WebEOC drill and if they were required to do anything regarding the‬ ‭drill. Director Liberty noted that this is something she does and she already addressed the drill.‬ ‭ADJOURNMENT‬ ‭►MOTION to adjourn at 5:45 by Harris.
