‭BOH MEETING MINUTES‬ ‭October 2, 2024‬ ‭In attendance: Bridget Sweet, Chair: Kim Mu-Chow, Member; Cathleen Liberty, Director; Ginny‬ ‭McNeil, Health Agent, Alicia Sullivan; Public Health Nurse, Kerry MacKay, Health Inspector‬ ‭Guests: Steve Sherlock (via Google Meet)‬ ‭CALL TO ORDER: ► Chair Sweet called the meeting to order at 5:00 pm.‬ ‭APPROVAL OF MINUTES: ►September 9, 2024.‬ ‭►MOTION to Approve the September 9, 2024 meeting minutes Mu Chow. SECOND by Sweet.‬ ‭No discussion. ►ROLL CALL VOTE: Mu Chow-YES; Sweet-YES, ►VOTE: Yes-2, No-0,‬ ‭Absent-1.‬ ‭NEW BUSINESS‬ ‭MCPHS intern project update‬ ‭Director Liberty noted that an intern from MCPHS is conducting their practicum and is delving into‬ ‭community readiness if internet and phone services aren’t working. The goal is to have a community‬ ‭resource for ages 65 and over for preparation of downed services.‬ ‭Homeless campaign update‬ ‭Director Liberty noted that the homeless subcommittee for the CHNA 6 is holding an advertorial public‬ ‭awareness campaign in November to put a face to the homeless.‬ ‭Retail; Food Code Standards for Allergen Awareness update‬ ‭Director Liberty noted that the guidance for food allergen awareness requirements for retail food‬ ‭establishments in Mass has changed in that sesame has been added to the major food allergens.‬ ‭Metacomet Shared Service Grant Inspector Update‬ ‭Director Liberty introduced the inspector at the meeting.‬ ‭Metacomet Public Health Nurse Update‬ ‭The public health nurse gave her monthly update and also discussed the fall health fair held on September‬ ‭25, 2024 and the flu clinic being offered to adults and seniors in October. She also noted that a flu vaccine‬ ‭clinic will be held for children as well.‬ ‭CITIZENS COMMENTARY‬ ‭ADJOURNMENT‬ ‭►MOTION to adjourn at 5:15 by Sweet.
