Meeting called to order at 5:30 p.m. In attendance: Chair Rodriguez, Vice Chair Roberson, Director Hoffman, and Secretary Braman. 2. Approval of Agenda: Vice Chair Roberson motioned to approve the Agenda. Seconded by Chair Rodriguez. Passed unanimously. 3. OLD BUSINESS A. Acceptance of the Minutes Chair Rodriguez motioned to accept the minutes from the August 21, 2018 meeting with changes. Vice Chair Roberson seconded. Passed unanimously. 4. Public Session No public comment. Closed at 5:55 p.m. 5. New Business A. Director’s Report - attached Chair Rodriguez motioned to accept the Director’s Report, Vice Chair Roberson seconded. Passed unanimously. B. Elections: i. Request for change at Precinct 301 is on schedule per the City Attorney. ii. Officers of Election: 1. Applications from Kimberly Pennick, Stacey Horne and Dennis Lister were accepted and assigned to Precincts. October Training a. Will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 10a.m. to 12 noon on the 3rd floor of the Executive Building. b. Make-up training will be on Tuesday, October 30th from 5:30 to 7:30 pm c. Chiefs and Assistant Chiefs will be asked to come on the 27th an hour early ( 9 am, 5th floor - for special training on Provisionals and Security Plan.) d. Binders will contain: 1. What If’s. 2. Contact information for their Precinct group, Election Officials, and Emergency numbers. 3. Voter ID – Acceptable ID’s. 4. Power Point presentation. – Chair Rodriguez will forward this Power Point file to Vice Chair Roberson and Secretary Braman by September 12, 2018. Page 4. e. CAP training: 11 a.m. – November 6; giving them set up time at 12 noon and open at 1 p.m. f. A list of names and phone numbers will be given to each Officer at training. iii. Voting Equipment: 1. PrintElect Training: Assistant Chair Roberson motioned that the training on September 11, 2018 by Tyler Lincks from PrintElect was well done. Chair Rodriguez seconded and this passed unanimously. 2. Equipment Status: Chair Rodriguez motioned to table this discussion until the October meeting. Seconded by Vice Chair Roberson. Passed unanimously. 3. New Forms Status: New forms are not in yet. Provisional ID and envelopes, etc. come from the state. iv. Equipment Custodian Expectations: Equipment Custodian should be at both trainings and prepare to train the new Officers separately on the EPB’s. C. University Visit by EB: Vice Chair Roberson made a motion that he represent the Electoral Board on September 13, 2018 at the panel discussion put on by the MultiCultural Center. Seconded by Secretary Braman. Passed unanimously. D. 2018 Preliminary Budget Discussion: Registrar Hoffman has not received any information from the City as of today. Discussion tabled. E. Security Plan: Secretary Braman motioned to table this discussion until the October meeting. Seconded by Vice Chair Roberson. Passed unanimously. F. Upcoming Calendar Dates Review: Tabled. G.
