AIRPORT ADVISORY COMMITTEE Meeting Minutes: November 21, 2014 1. Meeting called to order with Open Meeting announcement. Meeting began at 8:15 A.M. 2. Roll call. Board Members Present: Eric Johnson, Robert Steenblock, Ron Vlach, Mike McGillick, Mike Kempenar Guests: David Goedeken, Jim Kjeldgaard, Vic Rader, Ken Cox, Jim Campbell 3. Approval of the October 17, 2014 meeting minutes. Motion by Ron Vlach and seconded by Robert Steenblock to approve the October 17, 2014 minutes, motion passed by vote of members. 4. Terminal Master Plan project update and discussion. (Update Goedeken/Johnson) A general update on the status of the Terminal Master Plan was given by Goedeken and Johnson. ADG has received all the comments from the City, Public, Staff, and Advisory Board. A final version of the Draft will be available for the December Board Meeting. 5. FAA proposed hanger guidelines. (Update Johnson) Johnson reported there are new FAA Hangar Guidelines coming out soon regarding, funding, usage. Airport SOP may need to be updated in response to revised guidelines. 6. FAA review of pattern requirements for 14/32. (Update Johnson) A letter was received from the FAA denying the requests for pattern change, Board discussed options and agreed to let the request denial stand and take no further action. 7. FAA airspace review of proposed traffic signals. (Update Goedeken) Goedeken updated the board on the status of the 23rd Street Viaduct plans and their impacts on the Airport Property. A letter was received at the City regarding runway clearance hazards if traffic signals were to be placed at the proposed intersection of Colorado Drive and 23rd Street. Johnson and Goedeken are working with the FAA and the viaduct design consultant to clear the hazards. More will be reported at the December meeting. 8. Vacant committee position.  Board discussed the status of Jason Haas as a board member. Mr. Haas has not been attending Board meetings in 2014. Goedeken reported that his email and phone contacts are no longer current, and there has been no contact from Mr. Haas. Vlach suggested we contact others who may be interested in being on the board. 9. FAA runway pavement inspection. Kjeldgaard reported that the FAA has inspected the runway, but has not received a report from them. 10. Adjournment. Meeting was adjourned at 9:00 A.M.
