Library Board

October 16, 2017 Board President Larry Jirsak called the meeting to order at 3:30 p.m. in the library board room with the following members present: Earl Underwood, Mandy Ostdiek and Shari Kment. Also present was Library Director Tina Walker and Senior Office Associate Tracy Parr. Tracy will be recording the meeting minutes. The meeting was preceded by publicized notice in the Fremont Tribune and the agenda displayed in the municipal building, online at www.fremontne.gov/library and distributed. A copy of the open meeting law is posted continually for public inspection and is located near the entrance to the Board Room. Roll Call – Everyone except Board Member Lori Dahl was present. Board Member Underwood moved to amend the September 18 minutes to include discussion that was had about library positions. Board Member Underwood moved to approve the amended minutes of the regular meeting on September 18, 2017 and Board Member Ostdiek seconded it. Carried. Board Member Underwood made a motion to amend the agenda to add line #7 for the Director’s Report and Board Member Kment seconded it. Unfinished Business – Director Walker talked about how the internet policy was approved by City Council in September and we are reviewing and editing the current policy manual. New Business - Ally Poyner Macchieto the architect firm is planning for town hall meetings and meetings with service organizations for after the holidays. April will be the start of the campaign to lead up to the bond issue. Friends of the Library’s Report – None available. With no further business, meeting was adjourned at 4:30 p.m. with Board Member Kment making the motion to approve and Board Member Ostdiek seconding it. Carried.
