CITY OF FREMONT UTILITY AND INFRASTRUCTURE BOARD January 11, 2022 - 4:00 P.M. A meeting of the Utility and Infrastructure Board was held on January 11, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. in the 2nd floor meeting room at 400 East Military, Fremont, Nebraska and via Zoom. The meeting was preceded by publicized notice in the Fremont Tribune and the agenda displayed in the Municipal Building. The meeting was open to the public. A continually current copy of the agenda was available for public inspection at the office of the City Administrator, 400 East Military. The agenda was distributed to the Utility and Infrastructure Board on January 7, 2022 and posted, along with the supporting documents, on the City’s website. A copy of the open meeting law is posted continually for public inspection. ROLL CALL Roll call showed Board Members Dinkins, Sawtelle, Greunke Wiese, Bolton present. 5 members present, 0 absent. Others in attendance included Jody Sanders, Interim City Administrator and Dir. Finance; Angie Olson, Exec. Assist; Jeff Shanahan, Power Plant Supr.; Keith Kontor, Water/Wastewater Supr.; and Dave Goedeken, Dir. Public. CONSENT AGENDA Moved by Member Bolton and seconded by Member Greunke to approve items 3 and 4 (Minutes from December 28, 2021 and Accounts Payable through January 11, 2022). Ayes: Sawtelle, Bolton, Wiese, Greunke, Dinkins. Motion carried 5-0. REGULAR AGENDA: Consider SPP Point-to-Point Transmission Service. Shanahan gave overview. Moved by Member Dinkins and Seconded by Member Wiese to recommend City Council authorize City of Fremont staff to sign Attachment A Service Agreement for Firm Point-to-Point Transmission Service in the amount of $63,000 per month based on days in the month and tariff revisions. Ayes: Wiese, Greunke, Dinkins, Sawtelle, Bolton. Motion carried 5-0. Consider Purchase of 2022 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck. Goedeken gave overview. Moved by Member Greunke and Seconded by Member Bolton to recommend City Council approve the purchase of a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 double cab pickup truck through the State of Nebraska Contract #15531-OC from Sid Dillon’s in the amount of $35,121.00. Ayes: Bolton, Wiese, Greunke, Sawtelle, Dinkins. Motion carried 5-0. Consider Purchase of 2023 International truck with dump box and snow plow. Goedeken gave overview. Moved by Member Wiese and Seconded by Member Dinkins to recommend City Council approve the purchase of a 2023 International HV507 truck with dump box and snow plow through the Sourcewell Navistar Contract #060920-NVS from Cornhusker International Trucks, Inc. in the amount of $148,500. Ayes: Greunke, Wiese, Bolton, Sawtelle, Dinkins. Motion carried 5-0. 1 Discussion of Traffic Lights. Goedeken gave overview at the request of a Board Member. The State has been contacted to review the traffic light at the intersection of Broad and Military. An RFP is in the process of being implemented to review traffic flow on 23rd Street; including the intersection of 23rd and Diers Parkway and the intersection of 23rd and Bell Street. ADJOURNMENT Moved by Member Bolton and Seconded by Member Greunke to adjourn the meeting at 4:42pm. Ayes: Dinkins, Sawtelle, Wiese, Bolton, Greunke. Motion carried 5-0. 2
