Council Vice President Brandau asked staff why the department recommended PG&E. Assistant Director Anderson replied. Councilmember Olivier asked about the lighting fixtures and asked staff about the life span of the product. Director Mozier responded. City of Fresno ***Subject to Mayoral Veto Page 11 City Council Meeting Minutes - Final July 26, 2018 Councilmember Baines asked several questions to staff regarding the Workforce issue local 100, why the item was sole sourced instead of the regular public process, was an analysis of Tanko done and how id staff arrive at the $3.4 million more expensive cost. Director Mozier responded. Councilmember Baines asked Senior Deputy Attorney Collet about the proposal bid and if it is in two parts. One the financing can be applied to any project and two the procurement can be done differently. Senior Deputy Attorney Collect responded that they have not had an opportunity to look into that. Council President Soria left the meeting at 2:52 P.M. Council Vice President Brandau asked about the code lighting and if the product fits within our code and do what they are supposed to do and if the product withstands the heat. Director Mozier replied. Councilmember Olivier asked that the item be continued to the next meeting. City Manager Quan-Schecter agreed to the continuance and asked to come back August 16, 2018. Council Vice President Brandau asked City Manager Quan-Schecter if there can be a workshop followed by an approval item. City Manager Quan-Schecter agreed.
