Soria Councilmember Mike Karbassi Councilmember Luis Chavez Councilmember Garry Bredefeld Councilmember Nelson Esparza APPROVAL OF AGENDA On motion of Councilmember Karbassi, seconded by Councilmember Esparza, the above Action were approved. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 7 - Arias, Caprioglio, Soria, Karbassi, Chavez, Bredefeld and Esparza ID Closed Session: 20-00409 CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNCIL - PUBLIC SECURITY - Government Code Section 54957(a): Matters posing a threat to the security of public buildings, the security of essential public services, and to the public’s right of access to public services and public facilities, and related actions pertaining to the Declaration by Governor Newsom of a State of Emergency to Help State Prepare for Broader Spread of COVID-19, and related local concerns. Upon call, there was no public comment. City Council recessed into Closed Session at 1:12 P.M. and returned from Closed Session at 1:40 P.M. There was no announcements after Closed Session and the above item was discussed. Upon call, there was no public comment. The above item was introduced to Council by Council President Arias, District 3, Mayor Brand, Mayor's Office and Assemblymember Joaquin Arambula, representative of the 31st District. Mayor Brand announced Emergency Order 2020-02 calling the City of Fresno a shelter in place city starting 12:01 A.M. March 19, 2020 and ending 11:59 P.M. March 31, 2020. Discussion was held by Councilmember Bredefeld and Councilmember Karbassi regarding the shelter in place Emergency Order 2020-02. ADJOURNMENT City Council adjourned at 2:07 P.M.
