Roll Call Present 3 - Board Member Dean Eller, Chair Michael McDonald, and Board Member Elba Gomez Excused 2 - Vice Chair Jack Tracy, and Board Member Lynda Snauffer At 9:08am the Board convened into Closed Session. 2. Old Business A. Schedule Meeting(s) to Conduct a Public Employee Discipline Appeal Hearing [Pursuant to Fresno Municipal Code Section 3-284] Deputy City Attorney III, Jennifer DeRuosi, presented to the Board signed Joint Stipulation and Order to Continue Hearing Dates on behalf of the Appointing Authority and the Appellant's Representative. The Board approved and signed the Joint Stipulation presented. The Hearing on Appeal was mutually rescheduled for May 1, 2019. 3. Hearing on Appeal A. Closed Session - Continued Public Employee Discipline/Dismissal/Release [Pursuant to Government Code Section 54954] City of Fresno ***Subject to Mayoral Veto Page 1 Civil Service Board Meeting Minutes February 8, 2019 Deputy City Attorney III, Stephanie Snyder, and Deputy Chief Lydia Carrasco were present on behalf of the Appointing Authority. Attorney at Law, Roger Wilson, and the Appellant were also present. Witnesses were sequestered and Exhibits of evidence were presented during testimony and they were filed and moved into the record. At 11:45am, following summaries and closing remarks from the parties, the Board convened into Executive Session to deliberate the matter. At 12:35pm, the Board reconvend into Closed Session. Following the Board's review of the Appellant's Bench Briefs presented during Closing remarks, the Board requested of the Appointing Authority a written response to Appellant's Bench Briefs prior to the Board's decision in the matter. The Hearing on Appeal was continued for February 12, 2019 at 1:00pm for the Appointing Authority to present written response and the Board to further deliberate and vote on the matter. At 12:43pm, the Board reconvened into Open Session and the decisions of the Board were announced in accordance with the Brown Act. 4. Unscheduled Public Communications Deputy City Attorney III, Jennifer DeRuosi, requested the Board schedule one additional day for item ID19-1197. An additional day was scheduled for May 9, 2019 per request. 5. Adjournment There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 12:50pm.
