MEETING OF CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION GEORGE A. PUREFOY MUNICIPAL CENTER MCCALLUM ROOM, 4TH FLOOR 6101 FRISCO SQUARE BLVD. FRISCO, TEXAS 75034 4:30 PM TUESDAY, OCTOBER 20, 2020 MINUTES CALL TO ORDER Mayor Jeff Cheney called the meeting to order at 4:32 p.m. with a full quorum present. Mayor Jeff Cheney Present Mayor Pro-Tem Will Sowell Present Deputy Mayor Pro-Tem Shona Huffman Present Council Member John Keating Present Council Member Bill Woodard Present Council Member Tim Nelson Present Council Member Brian Livingston Present Representing Staff: Henry Hill, Deputy City Manager; Ben Brezina, Assistant City Manager; Kristi Morrow, City Secretary; Julie Davidson, Assistant City Secretary; Ryan Pittman, City Attorney; Department Directors, and other Staff members. CITIZEN INPUT No one wished to speak. REGULAR AGENDA 1. Presentation and discussion regarding food trucks. Page 1 of 3 Building Official Phillip Climer gave a presentation (Exhibit A) regarding the operation of food trucks in the City of Frisco. Mr. Climer discussed the details of both permanent and temporary uses of food trucks. Council expressed the desire to become more food truck friendly and to incorporate permits into the proposed Ordinance which would allow for multiple trips to various locations within the City. Council also requested Staff research area food truck parks for ease of use and enjoyability. The presentation concluded with a projected timeline for completion of an Ordinance regulating food trucks in the City, and Director of Development Services John Lettelleir indicated this proposed Ordinance would come before Council again in the first or second quarter of 2021. ADJOURN Council Member Bill Woodard moved to adjourn at 4:55 p.m. Mayor Pro-Tem Will Sowell seconded the motion.
