MINUTES
1. Call to Order / Roll Call
The meeting was called at 12:05pm by Jeff Smith with a quorum of board members
present.
Member(s) in attendance: Jeff Smith, Rich Lundt, Jason Young, Christal Howard,
Jennifer Gustafson, Nick Shafer, Heather Fuxa, and Kristin Grammar. Ex-officio
members present, Thor Anderson and Kevin Hail.
Member(s) absent: Rod Schaefer.
Staff in attendance: Marla Roe, Executive Director; Christina Miller, Director of Sales
and Services; Cori Powers, Director of Marketing and Communication; Josh Dill,
Director of Sports and Events; and Madison Graves, CRM Coordinator.
Henry Hill, Deputy City Manager was also present as well as Karen Kim, Vice
President of the Frisco Chamber of Commerce.
2. Citizen Input
No one wished to speak.
3. Approval of Previous Board Meeting Minutes
Nick Shafer made a motion to approve the September minutes and Jennifer Gustafson
seconded.
4. Reports – Christina Miller, Cori Powers and Josh Dill
A. Sales and Services –
Christina Miller, Director of Sales and Services said our last month of the year was
our best YTD; of the 14,138 rooms booked, over 5,700 of them were from Hurricane
Laura evacuees. The PACE reports show the sales team is currently ahead of pace,
but it also reflects re-bookings due to Covid. There were 60 cancellations for the year,
15 with potential for rebooking, and 21 that rescheduled.
B. Marketing and Communications
Cori Powers, Director of Marketing and Communication reported that results from the
Let’s Play Again campaign have been very successful, with 12.9 million impressions
and 176,000 click thru’s. Year-end Facebook followers were at 66,000, Instagram at
16,000 and total earned media value of $5.6 million, which is 167% above established
goals.
C. Sports and Events
Josh Dill, Director of Sports and Events shared that short term sports bookings
continue to be successful for Frisco hotels and local economy. The accessibility of
the Event Trust Fund for short term bookings has been integral in attaining this
business.
6. Executive Director Report
Marla Roe, Executive Director discussed the year end financials and did a quick review
of the FY21 budget.
Adjourn Board Meeting
All the department monthly reports were given to the board in Board Meeting Packets
for review prior to the meeting.
With no further business to discuss, the meeting adjourned at 1:01pm. Jennifer
Gustafson made a motion to adjourn. Nick Shafer seconded the motion and the motion
passed 10-0.

Municipal Center of the City of Frisco, Texas, a place convenient and readily accessible to the general public at all times, and said

NOTICE
Pursuant to City of Frisco Ordinance Number 19-10-87 each member of the public wishing to address the Visit Frisco Board of
Directors shall be entitled to speak for up to five (5) minutes, unless ten (10) or more members of the public are present to speak on a
single agenda item, in which case the Visit Frisco Board of Directors may by majority vote reduce the allotted time from five (5)
minutes to three (3) minutes per speaker to ensure that as many people as possible have an opportunity to speak, subject to the
requirements of other law.
NOTICE OF ASSISTANCE AT PUBLIC MEETINGS
The 7600 John Q Hammons Drive is wheelchair accessible. Access to the building and special parking are available at the primary
entrance. Persons with disabilities who plan to attend this meeting and who may need auxiliary aids or services such as interpreters
