CALL TO ORDER
Marcy Jones called the meeting to order at 5:39 p.m.
ROLL CALL
Members Present:
Val Maso (arrived at 5:55 p.m.) Christine Obenberger, Anne Watson, Joel Hoback, James
Driskill.
Mayor Pro-Tem Jeff Cheney, Deputy Mayor Pro-Tem, Bob Allen.
Councilman Scott Johnson was absent.
Staff Present:
Deputy City Manager, Henry Hill, John Lettelleir, Director of Development Services,
Marcy Jones, Recreation Services Manager.
CITIZEN INPUT
No citizens wished to speak.
REGULAR AGENDA
1. Consider and act on approval of the October 6, 2010 meeting minutes.
Committee Member, Christine Obenberger moved to approve the October 6, 2010
meeting minutes and Committee Member, Joel Hoback second the motion. The motion
carried.
2. Discuss the short and long term goals of the Health Initiative.
Following discussion the committee decided one of the short term goals is to identify
non-profit health and fitness resources and programs within the community. Several
committee members were tasked with researching this information and reporting back
to the committee for further discussion. One of the Initiative’s long term goals is to be
the “Fittest City in America.”
3. Discuss the Initiative’s Mission Statement.
The Health & Fitness Initiative Mission Statement was discussed.
4. Discuss names for the Health Initiative.
It was discussed that Mayor Maso is working closely with FISD to develop a name and
logo for the Health & Fitness Initiative.
5. Discussion regarding future agenda items.
There was no discussion.
ADJOURN
With no further business to discuss, Marcy Jones adjourned the meeting at
6:46 p.m.

Pursuant to City of Frisco Ordinance Number 01-04-29 all speakers other than City of Frisco Staff are limited to five (5) minutes per
item except by prior consent of the Board of Directors.

The Frisco City Hall is wheelchair accessible. Access to the building and special parking are available at the primary north entrance
facing Frisco Square Blvd. Persons with disabilities who plan to attend this meeting and who may need auxiliary aids or services such
as interpreters for persons who are deaf or hearing impaired, readers, or large print, are requested to contact the City Secretary’s
