MINUTES CITY COUNCIL MEETING FRUIT HEIGHTS CITY 910 South Mountain Road November 16, 2021 WELCOME: Mayor Pro Tem Julia Busche called the meeting to order at 7:01 pm. PLEDGE & OPENING CEREMONY: The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Council Member Diane Anderson, and the meeting was opened with Council Member Eileen Moss offering a word of prayer. COUNCIL MEMBERS PRESENT: Council Members Diane Anderson, Gary Anderson (arrived at 7:06 pm), Julia Busche, Jeanne Groberg, Eileen Moss and Mayor John Pohlman (arrived at 7:04 pm) were all present. CITY STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Brandon Green, City Planner Jeff Oyler and City Recording Secretary Amy Gardiner were present. VISITORS: Sue Webster, Todd Webster, Matt Lowe, Scott Justensen, Laura Hubrich, Brian Bare, George Ray, Curtis Tanner, Kevin Paulsen, Caden Burton and Will Langeland. CONFLICT OF INTEREST: None. CITY BUSINESS: Review/Discuss/Approve/Deny Canvas of the 2021 General Election City Manager Brandon Green provided a copy of the Summary Results Report from the election. He reviewed the results including: • Total Registered Voters - 3,962 • Total Ballots Cast - 1,807 • Total Voter Turnout - 45.61% • Fruit Heights City Mayor - John Pohlman 1,097 and Laura Hubrich 703 • Fruit Heights City Council - Florence Sadler 1,239, George Ray 1,149 and Korrin Dickson 610. The summary also provided statistical information according to each voting precinct. City Manager Brandon Green also reported that 17 ballots were not included — 2 were not signed, 6 did not have matching signatures and 9 were not received in time. He also said that the Summary Results Report will be posted online. Council Member Eileen Moss made a motion to approve the Canvas of the 2021 Election. The motion was seconded by Council Member Diane Anderson and it was approved unanimously. PUBLIC COMMENTS: None. INFORMATION ITEMS/UPCOMING EVENTS: Mayor John Pohlman reminded the City Council that there would be a Public Hearing on the Rock Loft Ridge Estates Development Agreement at the City Council Meeting held on November 30, 2021. CITY COUNCIL & STAFF REPORTS: None. Council Member Julia Busche made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Council Member Gary Anderson seconded the motion. It was approved unanimously, and the meeting was adjourned at 7:10 pm.
