APPOINTMENTS: - Board of Zoning & Building Appeals - 3 Year Term: Hakim Ben Adjoua A motion was made by Kneeland, seconded by Renner, to appoint Hakim Ben Adjoua to a 3 year term on the Board of Zoning and Building Appeals. REPRESENTATIVES: - Community Improvement Corporation (CIC) Kneeland said still waiting for confirmation on the next meeting date. - Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) Angelou said she assumes the next meeting will be the second Thursday in January. - Bd. of Education, Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools Larick indicated the meeting will be next Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Clark Hall. - Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) Jolley indicated the meeting is generally the second Thursday of the month. V. OFFICIAL REPORTS: - Mayor Mayor Stinchcomb welcomed new members; offered congratulations to all and said she is looking forward to serving with everyone in the upcoming year and wished everyone a Happy New Year. - City Attorney Ewald said that last year was a busy year; transition with new clerk; brought on part-time paralegal to meet the needs of the office; will have intern from Ohio State attending in the spring; two labor contracts negotiated; Creekside was very busy; look forward to coming year; welcomed Council and wished them Happy New Year. COUNCIL COMMENT Angelou welcomed new members and said she is looking forward to a positive year; thanked everyone for the well wishes and the kind comments; said it is great to be back; wished everyone Happy New Year and welcomed the new Clerk. Leeseberg wished everyone a Happy New Year and said he is looking forward to serving on Council. Schnetzer said looking forward to working with everyone and thanked administration and Council for helping him learn the processes. Jolley said Happy New Year and welcomed his new and returning colleagues. Renner thanked the voters of Ward 1 for their support; he thanked his family for their support, especially appreciates his parents, who went door to door campaigning for him; welcomed new and returning members; looking forward to working with everyone; welcomed Kim McWilliams in her new role as Clerk of Council. Kneeland welcomed everyone; looking forward to facing the current challenges; looking forward to making some progressive movement in finding new ways for financing; he welcomed the new Clerk and thanked Council staff for their efforts putting together tonight 's reception. Larick thanked all the families who have supported them in the process; welcomed Kim McWilliams to Gahanna and thanked her for taking on the challenge to make changes. Angelou commented that this meeting is her 25th time to do this and believes this is the first time she is the only woman on Council; she asked everyone to be nice to her. X.
