CALL TO ORDER - Invocation, Pledge of Allegiance, Roll Call Gahanna City Council met in Regular Session on Monday, June 2, 2014, in Council Chambers of City Hall, 200 South Hamilton Road, Gahanna, Ohio. President of Council Brian D. Larick called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Vice President of Council Kneeland delivered an Invocation and Stephen Renner led the Pledge of Allegiance. Agenda for this meeting was published on May 30, 2014. Present 7 - Karen J. Angelou, Ryan P. Jolley, Thomas R. Kneeland, Brian D. Larick, Jamie Leeseberg, Stephen A. Renner, and Michael Schnetzer *Ryan Jolley arrived at 7:02 p.m. B. ADDITIONS OR CORRECTIONS TO THE AGENDA - None. C. HEARING OF VISITORS - Resident Linda Robison, 627 Dunoon Drive in Hunters Ridge, explained her home is located in reasonable proximity to the pool; she isn't happy with the amount of noise due to the very loud music played at the pool; on Friday she stated her neighbor called to ask them to turn down the music and he was treated very poorly; subsequently the music was turned up louder after his request; the police were called, decibels were measured and allowed by code; pool staff turned up the music after police officer left; uncalled for to treat them poorly; the pool staff directed the speakers at their homes; unable to enjoy their property or be outside; requested Council consider reviewing the decibels in the code to avoid the excessive amount of noise they have been enduring; don't mind some noise; wants to be treated with respect. President Larick thanked her for her time and input about this matter. D. OFFICIAL REPORTS: Mayor Mayor said Creekside live is coming up; working on fireworks with partners this year; appreciates the private sector stepping up to make this event successful; asked for volunteers for Blues & Jazz Festival; information is on the City's website. City Attorney No report. N. COUNCIL COMMENT Angelou said Ladies softball team at Gahanna-Lincoln almost made it to the state; congratulations to them; boys team is in the semi-finals; good luck to them; great to see involvement; good parks and recreational activities. Kneeland thanked Parks & Recreation for setting up at the Veteran's Memorial Service; had the best speaker we've had in years from our police department; Ed Wheeler did an awesome job; had a really great turnout; thanks to all the departments for helping this year. Angelou said the ceremony is very moving; Ed Wheeler is a great speaker; stunning presentation; thanked everyone for their time and effort to make this a success every year. O.
