President of Council Brian D. Larick called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Vice President of Council Kneeland delivered an Invocation followed by the Pledge of Allegiance led by Council Member Jolley. The Clerk of Council stated the Public Hearing is scheduled for September 2, 2014. All notices were posted required by code. REPRESENTATIVES: Community Improvement Corporation (CIC) - Larick/Kneeland Kneeland said the next Community Improvement Corporation meets next Tuesday, August 19 at 7:30 a.m. at City Hall. Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) - Angelou Angelou said the next meeting is the third Thursday in September City of Gahanna Page 5 City Council Meeting Minutes August 4, 2014 (9-18-2014). Bd. of Education, Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools - Jolley Jolley said the next meeting is August 13. Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) - Jolley Jolley indicated the meeting is this Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. M. OFFICIAL REPORTS: Mayor Stinchcomb said wonderful car show this weekend; thanked Kneeland and leave him to report on the event; personal note her second grandchild, Amelia Jane Miller, was born and home from the hospital; mother and baby are doing fine; thanked everyone for all the good wishes. City Attorney No report. N. COUNCIL COMMENT Kneeland thanked the Capital City Corvette Club, Strathmore, Gahanna Police Department and the Parks & Recreation Department for all their support to make car show successful; much larger turn-out than everyone expected; community would like to see this as an annual event; heard from merchants in Old Gahanna that said they did have an increase in business due to this event; it was very well received. Larick applauded the car show's fundraiser for Nationwide Children's hospital; indicated that car show chairman Mark Thomas said they donated various products and all food sales to the children; they supported a very good cause.
